Marble Stone Lithography

In 2001, I met Per Anderson, the founder of La Ceibá Grafica, while studying aluminum plate lithography at the Tamarind Institute. Per took the time to instruct me on the nuances of printing from marble stone. Years later, during a sabbatical from work, I had the opportunity to visit La Ceibá to further explore the medium. All of the materials used, crayons, tusche wash, and ink were produced at the hacienda and were printed on either a commercial offset or locally made press.
